With Bangalore becoming increasingly congested, there are a few basic things one must look out for when buying a home. These include looking for areas with peaceful neighbourhoods, low pollution levels, good wide roads and easy availability of ground water. You also need to look for places without overcrowding, availability of good infrastructure as well as nearby sources of job opportunities.
While it’s difficult to find a location that fits all these requirements, Devanahalli in northern Bangalore does seem to fit the bill. This town is located 40km wide-road drive away from north-east of Bangalore city. The Kempegowda International Airport, which is India’s second largest airport, is located just 5km south of Devanahalli.
With the easy accessibility to the international airport nearby as well as plenty of virgin land, large corporates as well as realtors have been investing in land in this area. While plots here are still cheaper than in the main city, the cost is already rising and is touted to go up further within a couple of years.
Devanahalli is the most happening place at the moment with rapid growth and infrastructure development worth 20,450 billion rupees slated to be completed within a year or so. A multi-billion dollar business park with two IT Parks adjoining the airport is already in the offing over an area of 400 acres. Other huge projects in the completion phase in this area include an aerospace park, a science park as well as a financial city. Another important upcoming project – the BIAL Investment Region, is touted to be India’s largest IT region. It’s estimated to cost around 1,500 billion rupees covering an area of 12,000 acres (approximately 49 sq km).
Tipu Sultan, who was born in this town, would be amazed at the major hub his birthplace has grown into today. With so much development coming up in and around Devanahalli, the area has become a magnet for realtors too. Here is our previous article that explores the historical side of Devanahalli.
They are investing in large open tracts of untouched virgin green land resplendent with nature’s bounty. This is the right time to invest in residential property here as the location is perfect to bring up families as well as make great investments. There are elite educational institutions, hospitals, malls as well as large open green spaces available here.
